My storyMy name is Dorte Holm Jensen, and I am the native Danish, female founder of ferriesspain.com.
Andalucia in Spain - a "stone-throw" from the African continent, has been my home since 2001. My first 4 years in this beautiful country were enjoyed in the very Spanish whitewashed village of Torrox, cohabiting with my then teenage daughter and my retired parents in a street so narrow that cars couldn't drive there, in a 3-storey house with a roof terrace. Every time we climbed op the stairs to the roof terrace, we were met with the sight of this strange landscape of a white, densely built Arab/Andalusian labyrinthine village with the sea below and surrounded by mountains. Today I wake up 3 km out in the mountains with my English/Irish partner - overlooking a lush green valley, thanks to the river that runs through it, further down Torrox Pueblo and finally The blue, blue Mediterranean Sea. It is a very peaceful place, and not a day goes by without I feel grateful for living here. I have previously written articles and short stories for the Danish magazine "Solkysten" in Marbella from 2004 to 2008. I am very aware, that buying anything online always is a matter of trust.
